Just as I was getting thawed out from the “snowmaggedon”, it got cold again in the Evansville area. These fluctuations are generally not well-received by my clients as far as I can tell by their comments this past week, and I know I am over it. The positive side of the deep freeze is that it prompted me to more fully develop our in-office coffee and tea station. I am someone who survives the cold weather by having warm drinks throughout the day. I have herbal tea, black tea, decaf or half-caf organic coffee, and cacao drinks to get me through. Of course, I still drink filtered water, but during the cold months, I usually don’t drink it cold. So, when you are in the office with us, feel free to
help yourself to a warm beverage.** We may also put out healthy snacks from time to time. (**Note: Please partake at your own risk. Although we will do our best to identify ingredients for you, we cannot be held responsible for allergens you might encounter.)
Valentine’s Day is behind us, and spring and Easter are ahead of us. Seems as if
January is already a distant memory. Do you think that, too? I know that most of my January was spent solving technical issues on devices we use for the day-to-day operations of the business. Those kinds of things can make me cranky. But I may have also been cranky because I was on a Standard Process 21 Day Purification process while all of this was going on. Kelsea and I walked through our processes together and that made it feasible for me. Yes, even the Naturopath needs (and succeeds with) support. It turned out to be a good and helpful experience, and I felt lighter and definitely had less inflammation. Now that I have that experience behind me, I would be happy to support you on your own reset. Reach out to me if you want to learn more about the
programs and protocols we can use to offer your elimination pathways, digestion, and energy levels a reset that can advance your health journey.
Here’s to Spring and all the Renewal it brings!
Warmly,
Laurel
Speaking of Spring: We are prepping for Spring Cleaning! Kelsea and Laurel will be cleaning the shop and freshening up the space! We will also be prepping for our Spring Sale! Mark your calendars for March 18-30. We will have sale tables with % off signs, and we will introduce our “Freebie Basket”. What’s the “Freebie Basket”? I am glad you asked. We have decided to create a process for clearing out our expired goods without throwing them in the trash. The FDA requires expiration dates on supplements, just like they do for foods and pharmaceuticals. Often, the products are still effective, but if they are expired, we cannot-in good conscience-sell them in our store. But there is nothing that says we can’t give them away! We will debut the Freebie Basket during our Spring Sale.
In this month’s newsletter, we are introducing a section that will offer informative tidbits that may be new to you.
1) Did you know that Westside Natural Health serves as the monthly meeting
place for the Evansville region of Hoosiers for Medical Liberty (www.h4ml.org)? H4ML “seeks to promote the social welfare of Hoosiers
through the education of citizens and lawmakers in the state of Indiana
regarding bodily autonomy.” We are passionate about people having the facts
they need to truly receive informed consent to medical procedures such as
vaccines. And as such, we are honored to offer our space for area people to
gather and learn about proposed legislation and its possible impact on our
freedoms. We’d love to have you join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month
at 6:00pm. At the meetings we connect with the leader of H4ML, Ashley Grogg, RN, MSN, and the other regional leaders, through Zoom. After our Zoom meeting- which lasts about 30 minutes, we connect on a local level with a brief
discussion on current issues at hand. See www.H4ML.org for more information.
2) Did you know that our very own Dara Shigley, CNHP, has been certified in
Nutritional Kinesiology-a muscle testing procedure that helps us understand
the supplement needs for supporting normal function of the body. Additionally, she is a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner who can help her clients clear trapped emotions that hinder their health improvement. She has openings for new clients who need help with their health journey. Tell your friends and family today!
